Built around 1900 in Methuen, Massachusetts, this three-story Shingle Style house exemplifies the residential architecture favored by well-to-do businessmen in the region at the turn of the twentieth century. Constructed of wood shingles over a wood frame, the house features distinctive curved exterior corners, a bay window with curved walls, and small decorative rectangular and oval openings. Originally, a Palladian window in the gable was framed by square-cut shingles arranged in a keystone pattern—a detail since lost to modern siding. The property, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, also includes a period carriage house.
