The Eierland Lighthouse stands on the northernmost tip of Texel, a Dutch island, marking the location of the former island of Eierland for which it is named. Built in 1864 to designs by architect Quirinus Harder, this 35-meter tower was constructed of cement, brick, and concrete. Now designated a Rijksmonument, the lighthouse represents mid-nineteenth-century Dutch maritime infrastructure.
