Located at the southern end of Brickell Avenue in Miami's Financial District, Brickell Arch is a 36-story, 487-foot office skyscraper completed in 2004 by the architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC. The building's most distinctive feature is its concave parabolic glass façade, which echoes the Gateway Arch in St. Louis and symbolically welcomes people to the United States, reflecting Miami's nickname as "The Gateway to Latin America." The structure serves as the North American headquarters for Espírito Santo Bank and houses Class A office space, a Conrad Hotel, and residential units. Opened on July 1, 2004, it stands less than a block from the Financial District Metromover Station and was recognized in 2012 by the AIA's Florida Chapter as part of its list of significant state architecture.
