Fort Clinch State Park is a 1,100-acre Florida state park on a peninsula near the northern tip of Amelia Island in Nassau County, overlooking the Amelia River and the entrance to Cumberland Sound. The park, developed in 1935 using National Park Service rustic architectural principles, preserves the 19th-century Fort Clinch alongside diverse natural environments including sand dunes, maritime hammocks, and estuarine tidal marshes. Located northeast of Fernandina Beach, it combines historical fortification with coastal ecology in a single protected landscape.
