The Fowler Swimming Pool and Bathhouse, erected in Fowler, Kansas, in 1936 as a Works Progress Administration project, exemplifies New Deal-era recreational infrastructure. The facility comprises an oval pool and a bathhouse rendered in Moderne architectural style, complemented by a restroom structure. One of forty such WPA swimming facilities constructed or enhanced across Kansas during this period, the complex was recognized for its significance in providing social and recreational resources to the community. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009, with the pool and bathhouse designated as contributing historic elements.
