Frank Evans High School, a three-story Collegiate Gothic masonry building erected in 1922 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, was designed by architect G. Lloyd Preacher. Expanded with additions in 1925 and 1928, the structure served as a high school until 1959, when it transitioned to junior high school use following the construction of a new Spartanburg High School. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012, the building underwent a significant adaptive reuse renovation beginning in 2013, when Spartanburg Community College established its Evans Academic Center there to serve downtown residents. The renovation earned both a 2015 Adaptive Reuse Citation Award from the American Institute of Architects' South Carolina Chapter and LEED Silver certification.
