The General Post Office in Central, Hong Kong, serves as the headquarters of Hongkong Post. Completed in 1976, this brutalist structure originally occupied a prominent seafront site at Connaught Place, adjacent to the former Star Ferry Pier. The building's waterfront position changed dramatically following land reclamation works completed in 2007, after which it became situated inland. Flanked by Jardine House and the International Finance Centre, the GPO exemplifies the stark geometric language of brutalist architecture characteristic of its era. As of 2018, the building faced scheduled demolition, though preservation efforts sought to retain it as a historical landmark.
