Located in Long Beach, Nassau County, New York, this Colonial Revival post office was completed in 1936 under the direction of Louis A. Simon of the Office of the Supervising Architect. The single-story brick structure exhibits the style's restrained elegance through its symmetrical composition: a central five-bay section crowned by a gable roof, flanked by perpendicular end pavilions with their own gables. The interior lobby houses a Treasury Section of Fine Arts mural by Jon Corbino titled *The Pleasures of the Bathing Beach*, completed in 1939 as part of the New Deal's art programs. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, the building stands as a representative example of Depression-era federal post office architecture.
