The Grand Jamia Mosque, located in Bahria Town, Lahore, is Pakistan's third largest mosque and the fourteenth largest in the world, with a total capacity of 70,000 worshippers. Designed by architect Nayyar Ali Dada and inaugurated on Eid al-Adha on October 6, 2014, the mosque cost over 4 billion rupees to construct. Its Islamic architecture draws inspiration from the Badshahi Masjid, Wazir Khan Mosque, and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The structure features four minarets, each 165 feet tall, and a grand dome surrounded by twenty smaller domes. The exterior is clad in four million handmade Multani tiles, while the interior showcases custom-made Turkish carpets and over fifty Iranian chandeliers. The building includes an Islamic heritage museum with rare Quranic collections, an Islamic library, and an art gallery displaying antique artifacts. The mosque accommodates 25,000 worshippers indoors, with the courtyard and corridors providing space for the remaining capacity.
