The Hagar–Smith–Livermore–Sanderson House at 51 Sanders Lane in Waltham, Massachusetts, is the city's oldest surviving structure, built in several stages beginning around 1716. The 2½-story wood-frame dwelling consists of an older ell—possibly dating to 1716, though architectural evidence suggests mid-18th century construction—attached to a larger main block originally raised as a 1½-story structure in the 1780s with a slate gambrel roof. The house acquired its current proportions and Italianate styling during the mid-19th century. The property has been home to families central to Waltham's development and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
