The Harbor Towers are twin 40-story residential towers designed by Henry N. Cobb of I. M. Pei & Partners and completed in 1971 on Boston's waterfront, positioned between the New England Aquarium and Rowes Wharf. Built as part of a major waterfront revitalization effort, the brutalist structures rise 400 and 396 feet respectively, with the taller tower tied for the 36th-tallest building in Boston. Originally conceived as affordable rental housing, the apartments were converted to condominiums in the 1980s, transforming the project's economic profile while maintaining their prominent position in the city's skyline.
