Hard Labor Creek State Park is a 5,804-acre Georgia state park located between Bostwick and Rutledge, built in 1934 in the National Park Service rustic architectural style. Named after the small stream that winds through its grounds—itself named either for enslaved laborers who once worked the summer fields or for Native Americans who found the stream difficult to ford—the park now features an 18-hole public golf course with a pro shop, driving range, and rental facilities. Rocky Creek supplies water hazards throughout the course, most notably at the 14th hole, which is marked by a signature water wheel. The park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
