Immaculata High School, an all-girls Catholic institution in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, operated from 1921 to 1981. Designed by Prairie School architect Barry Byrne—a former apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright—the building exemplifies Moderne architecture and stands at Irving Park Road and Marine Drive. The entrance originally featured a sculpture of Mary by Alfonso Iannelli, a frequent collaborator with Byrne. The school earned listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977 and Chicago Landmark designation in 1983.
