The Jackling House was a Mediterranean Revival mansion in Woodside, California, designed by noted California architect George Washington Smith and completed in 1925 for copper mining magnate Daniel Cowan Jackling and his family. The building exemplified Spanish Colonial Revival architecture characteristic of Smith's work during that era. Though regarded as a historic home, the mansion was demolished in 2011 by its final owner, Steve Jobs, following a protracted legal dispute; Jobs had stated his intention to construct a smaller, contemporary home on the site, though he died before the project could be realized.
