The Julia Morgan House, a Mediterranean Revival mansion in Sacramento's Elmhurst neighborhood, was designed and constructed by Julia Morgan, the first woman licensed to practice architecture in California. The residence, now on the National Register of Historic Places, later passed to Sacramento State University following the 1966 death of Charles Goethe, who had gifted the property to the university.
