The Jameh Mosque of Shahrud is a Shi'ite Friday mosque in Semnan Province, Iran, whose construction began during the Ilkhanate era and was substantially renovated in 1863 under the Qajars. Built with brick, adobe, and tile, the structure reflects the architectural traditions of both periods—the refined geometric and decorative vocabulary of Ilkhanid design layered with later Qajar interventions. Designated as an Iranian National Heritage site in 1997, it remains an important example of religious architecture that spans multiple centuries of Persian Islamic building practice.
