Located in the Bazaar quarter of Tabriz adjacent to the Grand Bazaar, the Jameh Mosque is a large Shi'ite Friday mosque built during the Safavid era. Its architecture reflects layers of Persian tradition, incorporating Ilkhanid, Seljuk, Safavid, and Qajar stylistic elements accumulated through centuries of use and renovation. Historically known as the Kabiri Jame, the structure was recognized as a national cultural property when added to Iran's National Heritage List in 1932.
