Keret House, a postmodern art installation in the Wola district of Warsaw, stands as one of the world's most extraordinarily narrow residential structures. Designed by architect Jakub Szczęsny through the firm Centrala and completed in 2012, the two-story building measures a mere 92 centimeters at its narrowest point and 152 centimeters at its widest—dimensions that have earned it recognition as the narrowest house in the world. Named after Israeli writer and filmmaker Etgar Keret, who served as its first tenant, the structure functions simultaneously as functional dwelling and conceptual artwork, challenging conventional ideas about domestic space and architectural possibility.
