Perched on the Harilaid peninsula in Saaremaa, Estonia, within Vilsandi National Park, Kiipsaare Lighthouse is a 25-metre reinforced concrete tower built in 1933 to guide mariners navigating the Baltic Sea and warn them of hazards near the peninsula. Originally positioned 150 metres inland, the structure has been dramatically threatened by coastal erosion; by the early 1990s, the sea had reached its base, causing the tower to lean as the supporting ground gave way. The generator was removed in 1992, and the lighthouse functioned as a daymark until 2009. The inclined tower gained cultural prominence when it featured prominently in the 2003 Estonian film *Somnambuul*, set in autumn 1944 during World War II.
