La Magione is a minor basilica in Palermo's ancient Kalsa quarter, built in 1191 and representing a blend of Norman and Gothic architectural traditions characteristic of 12th-century Sicily. Located on Via Magione, the church is approached through a garden path that leads to its southeast-facing façade, positioned midway between Via Castrofilippo and Via Garibaldi. The building's apse occupies the southeast corner of Piazza Magione, anchoring the urban landscape of this historic district. Now designated an Italian national heritage site, La Magione stands as a significant example of the Norman architectural heritage that defines medieval Palermo.
