Lilianfels, a heritage-listed Queen Anne villa in Katoomba, New South Wales, was designed by Varney Parkes and built in 1889 by Sir Frederick Darley, Chief Justice of New South Wales, as his mountain retreat. Named in honour of Darley's recently deceased daughter Lilian—with "fels" derived from the German word for high ground—the house exemplifies the architectural tastes of late nineteenth-century colonial élite. The Darleys retained ownership for two decades before selling; today, the property functions as a luxury hotel and resort spa offering accommodation, dining, and event facilities. It was registered on the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
