Completed in 1974, the Malcolm Moos Health Sciences Tower stands as the tallest building on the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities campus and a prominent example of Brutalist architecture. Located on the East Bank, the tower houses laboratory and faculty office space for the College of Dentistry, as well as the entrance to the Biomedical Library and a Caribou Coffee with a study lounge. Its distinctive form has led observers to speculate that the building's design was intended to evoke the shape of a tooth, reflecting its primary institutional purpose.
