Located in Istanbul, the Manastır Mosque is a small Byzantine church that was converted into a mosque during the Ottoman period. Originally an Eastern Orthodox structure, its precise Byzantine dedication remains uncertain despite archaeological investigation, though it may have belonged to a monastery honoring the Holy Martyrs Menodora, Metrodora, and Nymphodora, or served as an annex to the nunnery of Kyra Martha. Though modest in architectural significance as a minor example of Byzantine building, the structure holds historical importance as a surviving testament to Constantinople's religious transformation.
