Located in Manaus, Amazonas, the Manaus Brazil Temple is a modern structure of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, completed in 2012. Designed by GSBS Architects in collaboration with JCL Arquitetos, the temple features a single spire topped with a gold-leafed angel Moroni and an exterior clad in locally sourced Branco Paris granite. Situated on a 7.7-acre site near the Rio Negro, it comprises two ordinance rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry. The intent to construct the temple was announced in May 2007, with groundbreaking held in June 2008. Following its completion, the building attracted over 42,000 visitors during a public open house before its dedication by Dieter F. Uchtdorf on June 10, 2012, becoming Brazil's sixth temple and the 138th operating temple worldwide.
