Mayravank, a ruined medieval Armenian monastery near the village of Solak in Kotayk Province, survives today as a single structure: the Surb Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) Church, dating to the 11th–12th centuries. Built in the characteristic Armenian architectural style, the church stands dramatically atop a cliff amid evergreen trees. The monastery, whose name means "mother monastery" in Armenian, holds status as a cultural heritage monument in Armenia.
