The Mitchell–Tappan House is a Queen Anne style residence built in 1897 in Hibbing, Minnesota, originally constructed as a home for executives of the Oliver Mining Company. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, the house was recognized for its architectural significance and its role in documenting the social history of the region's early mining era. The lavish design reflects the sumptuous lifestyle of the mining company's elite leadership during that period. The Oliver Mining Company maintained the property as an executive residence into the 1960s, and it has since been operated as a bed and breakfast.
