Mount Nebo, a historic home in Poolesville, Montgomery County, Maryland, exemplifies Georgian architecture through its substantial 2½-story gable-roofed frame structure. Built in three distinct phases, the main block dates to the second quarter of the nineteenth century, while a 1½-story wing extends from the rear—an earlier late-eighteenth-century dwelling incorporated into the larger composition. A two-story addition was appended to the east gable end around 1900. The property retains a mid-nineteenth-century log smokehouse and the remains of an early terraced garden. The estate gained local historical significance through its association with the White family, particularly Joseph White (1825–1903), a prominent Confederate supporter during the Civil War. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, Mount Nebo preserves multiple building campaigns spanning over a century of domestic architecture.
