The Mrs. Lydia Johnson House in Maquoketa, Iowa, is a two-and-a-half-storey Queen Anne residence built in 1895 during a period of economic expansion in the city. The house exemplifies the style's characteristic complexity through its irregular composition, corner tower, expansive wrap-around porch with a secondary porch on the second floor, varied window shapes and sizes, and textured exterior wall surfaces. Though little is documented about the Johnson family themselves, the house's architectural significance earned it listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
