The William A. and Ida C. Johnson House is a Queen Anne style residence in Oskaloosa, Iowa, built as a 2½-story frame dwelling featuring a wrap-around full-width porch with gable-end entryway, bay window on the main facade, and a complex roof of steeply pitched intersecting gables. The Johnsons, who were farmers, relocated to town to enable their children to attend local Quaker schools—a practice common among Quaker families of the era—and frequently hosted other family members boarding for the same purpose. William Johnson became deeply involved with William Penn College, serving on its Board of Trustees and as president from 1915 to 1922, a period marked by the Main Building's destruction by fire and the college's relocation. The house's historical significance derives from the family's central role in Oskaloosa's Quaker educational community. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
