The Nabemba Tower, also known as Elf Tower, stands as the Republic of the Congo's tallest building at 106 metres across 30 floors. Located in Brazzaville on the Congo River's southern bank, the skyscraper was designed by Jean Marie Legrand and constructed between 1983 and 1986 with funding from the French oil company Elf Aquitaine. Named after Mont Nabemba, the nation's highest mountain, the tower houses various government ministries and international organizations, including UNESCO and the New Partnership for African Development. President Denis Sassou Nguesso inaugurated the completed structure on 3 February 1990.
