In Nigeria's Central Business District, the World Trade Centre Abuja is an eight-building high-tech complex designed by Woods Bagot and funded by private institutions at a cost of approximately ₦200 billion. Developed by First Intercontinental Properties Limited, a subsidiary of The Churchgate Group, the scheme comprises seven planned skyscrapers, two of which have been topped out. WTC Tower 1, completed in 2015 at 110 metres (361 feet) across 24 floors, was briefly Nigeria's tallest residential building, while the taller WTC Tower 2 reaches 120 metres (394 feet), making it Abuja's highest structure. Originally scheduled for 2013 opening, the project was subsequently delayed. When finished, the development will rank as West Africa's largest mixed-use undertaking, with WSP Consulting serving as structural consultant and Abuja Investments Company as project partner.
