The Old Cathedral of the Holy Name of Jesus stands in Sé, a parish in northeastern Portugal, as a sixteenth-century Manueline structure originally built to serve as a convent. Following the 1764 transfer of the diocese of Bragança-Miranda to Miranda do Douro, it was elevated to the status of diocesan cathedral, a role it held until 2001 when a new cathedral opened and this building returned to parish church use. Dedicated to the Holy Name of Jesus and John the Baptist, the building is designated a Monument of Public Interest by Portugal's Directorate General of Cultural Heritage.
