The Old South Restaurant, located at 1330 East Main Street in Russellville, Arkansas, was a modular single-story diner exemplifying streamlined Art Moderne design. Built in 1947 from prefabricated parts manufactured by the National Glass and Manufacturing Company of Fort Smith, the structure was assembled in just six days. Its distinctive character derived from porcelain-coated aluminum exterior paneling, continuous bands of fixed windows, and a projecting aluminum entrance surmounted by a neon-lit sign. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, the building suffered a total loss fire in the early morning hours of June 6, 2023, though its exterior walls remained standing. The restaurant was subsequently relocated to a new address on East Harrell Drive.
