Built in 1938, this Colonial Revival post office in Ripley, Mississippi served its community for more than six decades before closing around 2000. The vernacular brick structure displays careful craftsmanship, with brickwork laid in English bond and detailed classical elements including a central front doorway flanked by wooden pilasters and topped with a seven-light transom. The facade features 8-over-12 sash windows set off by limestone lintels and sills. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000, the building stands as a modest example of early twentieth-century federal architecture in the small town.
