Oracle Park, a ballpark designed by Populous, has served as the home of the San Francisco Giants since 2000 in the South Beach neighborhood along San Francisco Bay. Originally known as Pacific Bell Park, then SBC Park and AT&T Park, the stadium acquired its current name when Oracle Corporation purchased the naming rights in 2019. The bay waters beyond the right field wall are informally called McCovey Cove, honoring former Giants player Willie McCovey. Beyond baseball, the stadium has hosted college and professional football, including the Redbox Bowl from 2002 to 2013 and temporary home games for the California Golden Bears in 2011. Well-served by public transit—with the Muni 2nd and King Station directly outside, the 4th and King Caltrain station 1.5 blocks away, and the Oracle Park ferry terminal at center field—the ballpark offers easy access from throughout the Bay Area.
