Built in 1967 on Main Street in Goshen, New York, the Orange County Government Center was a Brutalist office designed by architect Paul Rudolph. The building served as the principal seat of Orange County's administration, housing most county officials' offices, the county legislature's meeting chambers, and vital records including court documents, deeds, and mortgages. The ground floor also accommodated a New York State Department of Motor Vehicles office. Though praised by architectural preservationists, the center section of the building was demolished by December 2015.
