The Pequot Library in Southport, Connecticut, is a public association library founded in 1887 and opened in 1894 with backing from the Marquand Family. Designed by architect Robert Henderson Robertson in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, the building stands as a Contributing Property to the Southport Historic District and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its interior showcases architectural distinction through a glass-floored stacks wing and Tiffany glass windows. The library holds exceptional special collections including Shakespeare's First Folio, John James Audubon's *Birds of America*, William Morris' Kelmscott Press works, and *De honesta voluptate et valetudine*, the first printed cookbook, alongside a circulating collection exceeding 105,000 volumes and other materials.
