The Philip A. Wolff House and Carriage House, known locally as Belmont Hill, is a two-story Italianate residence built in 1883 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, by businessman Philip A. Wolff using bricks manufactured at his own works on the same grounds. The vernacular design features characteristic Italianate details including paired brackets beneath the eaves, brick arches above the windows with limestone sills, a three-sided two-story bay, and a projecting center pavilion. The accompanying carriage house mirrors the main dwelling's architectural character. Constructed during a period of economic expansion when the property occupied suburban Cedar Rapids, both structures were recognized as historic landmarks and listed together on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
