The Richard Holbrook Houses are a pair of joined Greek Revival cottages at 29 and 31 Heard Street in Waltham, Massachusetts, built in 1844 by Richard Holbrook, a local housewright. Originally 1½-story structures with detailed styling, both buildings have lost much of their ornamental character through later alterations and siding. The houses operated as separate properties until 1892, when Patrick Welch, who had purchased the first in 1886, acquired the second and likely oversaw construction of the central connecting section that now unites them. These structures represent rare survivors of a once-common cottage form and were recognized with listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
