Built in 1888 during America's mineral springs boom, the Riverside Inn stood in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, as the first of several resorts drawn to the town's therapeutic springs. Designed in the Shingle style and Neoclassical architectural idioms, the hotel also functioned as a dinner theater, serving the leisure travelers who sought the region's spa attractions. Recognized for its historical significance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The building was destroyed by fire on the morning of May 2, 2017.
