Rose Rayhaan by Rotana, commonly known as Rose Tower, stands 333 meters tall on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, making it the world's fifth-tallest hotel. This 72-storey modern skyscraper was designed and constructed by Arabian Construction Co., with construction beginning in 2004 and structural completion in 2007, though the hotel did not open until December 23, 2009. Originally envisioned at 380 meters, the design was reduced during development. The tower's distinctive façade features two tones of blue and silver mirrored glass with gold ornamentation, including a narrow panel of oculiform gold rings running vertically up each elevation. The building's most striking feature is its sculptural crown: the sides incorporate two convex cylindrical forms that fold into one another before flattening toward the top, where they reach an elaborate peak of intersecting petals—a visual reference to the building's rose motif—topped by a sphere and spire. The hotel contains 462 rooms, suites, and penthouses, along with two restaurants and a 24-hour coffee shop, and was notably among Dubai's first major hotel brands to operate alcohol-free.
