The Royal Tank Museum in Amman, Jordan, opened on January 29, 2018, as a military museum dedicated to showcasing the evolution of armored vehicles and Jordan's military heritage. Designed by Jordanian architect Zaid Daoud, the building employs futurist architecture rendered in glass, steel, and glass fiber reinforced concrete across approximately 20,000 square meters of exhibition space within a larger 100,000-square-meter site adjacent to King Abdullah II Park. The museum houses around 110 tanks and armored vehicles displayed chronologically, including American, British, Soviet, and German-made examples alongside locally produced military equipment, with pieces tracing the history of such vehicles from 1915 onward. Educational and interactive audiovisual technologies accompany the exhibits, which explore how regional conflicts shaped Jordan's history, while an outdoor arena provides demonstration programs featuring the museum's collection. The project, managed by a board including the Greater Amman Municipality and the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau, required nearly a decade to complete.
