Saddell Castle is a 16th-century fortress on the shore of the Kilbrannan Sound near Saddell, Kintyre, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, and is listed as a category A building. Its origins trace to the 12th century, when a castle stood on the site during the time of Somerled. The castle became a stronghold of the MacDonald family, who held it for several centuries and whose descendants continue to visit the site. Notable residents included Alasdair Mor MacDonald in the 13th century, and Angus Og MacDonald, who famously sheltered Robert the Bruce during the First War of Scottish Independence in the early 14th century before conducting him to Dunaverty Castle.
