Sagamore Hill, a Queen Anne–style house designed by the architectural firm Lamb and Rich, sits on Cove Neck near Oyster Bay on Long Island's North Shore, about 25 miles east of Manhattan. Built in 1885, it served as the residence of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States, until his death in 1919. The property is now preserved as Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, which encompasses the original house and the Theodore Roosevelt Museum, housed in a later structure on the grounds.
