Completed in 1917, the Shedd Park Fieldhouse in Chicago's South Lawndale community showcases Prairie School architecture designed by William Eugene Drummond. The brown brick structure, accented with limestone trim, was constructed on land donated to the city by John G. Shedd. A Prairie School gymnasium addition by Michaelsen and Rognstad was built in 1928, expanding the facility's recreational capacity. Recognized for its architectural significance, the fieldhouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and designated a Chicago Landmark in 2004.
