Standing 165 metres high at Marina Centre in Singapore's Downtown Core, the Singapore Flyer is an observation wheel that officially opened on 15 April 2008. Designed by architect Kisho Kurokawa, it was the world's tallest Ferris wheel upon completion, featuring 28 air-conditioned capsules, each accommodating 28 passengers, alongside a three-story terminal building. Though surpassed in 2014 by Las Vegas's High Roller at 167.6 metres, the Flyer has become an iconic landmark of Singapore's skyline and a fixture in media and popular culture representations of the city.
