Sloan Cottage is a historic cure cottage built around 1907 in Saranac Lake, New York, exemplifying the Shingle and Tudor Revival styles characteristic of the region's tuberculosis sanatorium era. The two-story wood-frame structure features plain wood shingle siding with half-timbering detailing above, crowned by an irregular gable roofline. Its design incorporates practical elements essential to cure cottage design: a sleeping porch and a first-floor sitting-out porch, both meant to maximize patients' exposure to fresh air. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, the cottage survives as a testament to early twentieth-century therapeutic architecture.
