The Stradal House is a Lustron prefabricated residence built in 1950 in WaKeeney, Kansas, representing the mid-century modern movement's embrace of industrialized housing. Constructed on a concrete slab foundation by Dreiling Implements of Hays, this one-story dwelling measures 31 by 35 feet and exemplifies Lustron's two-bedroom Westchester Deluxe Plan model. Its exterior steel panels, finished in desert tan with white trim, enclose integrated built-in cabinets and bookshelves characteristic of the manufacturer's standardized designs. Originally built for John and Agnes Stradal, the house gained recognition as one of approximately one hundred surviving Lustron homes in Kansas, earning listing on both the Kansas Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places in 2001 for its architectural significance.
