The Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Italy, is one of Europe's leading opera houses, designed by the renowned architect Francesco Galli Bibiena and originally built in 1716. The theater has endured a turbulent history, requiring reconstruction after a devastating fire on January 21, 1749, and again following allied bombing on February 23, 1945. Today it remains the principal opera venue in Verona and is owned by the Accademia Filarmonica di Verona.
