The Teatro Nacional de San Salvador, El Salvador's principal opera house, was designed by French architect Daniel Beylard and inaugurated on March 1, 1917, following construction that began in 1911. Built in French Renaissance style with modern touches, the structure was further embellished by Italian architect Lucio Cappellaro. Its Great Hall ranks among the most beautiful and elegant theatrical spaces in Central America, and the building holds significant patrimonial value as a cultural landmark.
